“CHINESE FLU”

Trump calls it the Chinese flu.
It could be expected from him given that he decerns issues at a very basic and unintelligible level.
Is it the language of the common man in the USA. Perhaps it is, especially in the rural areas of the country.
So, why a hyperbole has been created.
The naming of virus-related spreading diseases has been the practice for a long time. We had Spanish flu, West Nile Virus, Zika, Ebola, etc. Then hurricanes are titled after popular names from both the genders.
In lighter veins, Mexico seems it does not mind the use of Corona named after its world popular beer.
The media is creating an issue out of Trump’s political incorrectness.
The bottom line is viruses know no borders, ethnicity, religion, etc.

  1. It’s is one world and for the first time I see a prospective future where borders will dissolve in minds and only exist for geo rulings. If we forget the politicians, people are already evolving in their sense of brotherhood. I wish the system produced some brave hearts who can withstand the political drag and depict people’s true heart!

  2. “Borders will dissolve”,our concerns and issues are now at the global level of wellness of all humanity. This empathetic awareness creates respect and understanding among peoples of the world irrespective of class, caste, religious or societal differences.
As we are fast developing into a multi-facet global community, what we need is humanitarianism and environmentalism.
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
