WORLD OF CHOICES
From Netflix to the menu in a Chinese restaurant, what to eat for dinner, buying a car or house, vacations or vitamins, Roma tomatoes, Beefsteak Tomatoes, or Cherry Tomatoes; forgetting that tomato is a tomato, and so is the potato, we are in the profusion with choices.
The world is a market of choices. From grocery to garments, furniture to luxury items, we have multiple choices or options.
Life is a matter of choices. Deepak Chopra says, “No matter what the situation, remind yourself, I have a choice.”
But choices exist only in affluent countries and societies. Freedom of choice does not exist for the poor.
Life with choices is a privilege denied to the poor.
Options to eat, wear, and move are limited or negligent for the poor. Ask the refugees or desperate migrants when circumstances force them to move to safe places, no choice.
