DON’T CALL IT A WAR. IT’S A GENOCIDE OF AN UNPRECEDENTED SCALE:

The media all over the world still call it the Gaza War.

But this is not a war.

According to the dictionary definition of war, “it is a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations.”

And Wikipedia describes war as “an armed conflict between the armed forces of states, or between governmental forces and armed groups that are organized under a certain command structure and have the capacity to sustain military operations.”

The keyword in these descriptions of war is “between” states, nations or armed groups.

In Gaza, “between” who?

Is Israel fighting against Hamas? But where is Hamas? Nowhere are they seen in this so-called war.

What we have seen and continue to see is that more than 54,000 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children.

The world witnesses the haunting flashes of death and destruction, of skeletal children with sunken eyes and trembling hands stretching out empty pots for a spoonful of survival, a fury rises—raw and immediate.

This is not a war. It is a massacre.

It is genocide on an unprecedented scale.

  1. A massacre is right. And Canada is still selling arms and ammo to Israel. You know when the NDP was propping up the Liberals in the last 2 years, the NDP could have demanded the govt end all arms sales to Israel — and the NDP did not do that.
