Bulldozing Hindutva’s Laughable Temple-Under-Mosque Campaign

Hinduism, a timeless and inclusive philosophy, has nothing to do with Hindutva’s absurd obsession with conjuring temples beneath mosques. Hindu temples exist, even side by side, in harmony with mosques, but not underground.

Hinduism, with its vast cultural depth and secular ethos, stands worlds apart from Hindutva—a counterfeit ideology cloaked in fanaticism and fueled by a dangerously divisive agenda.

Hindutva isn’t spirituality; it’s a political weapon wielded by the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and enforced by the khaki-clad, brainwashed battalions of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its “Parivar” of zealots.

This agenda is less about faith and more about fracturing India’s social fabric—tearing apart communities along religious and caste lines while undermining Hinduism’s democratic and inclusive foundation.

The Ghost of Savarkar

The mischief began with Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the Hindutva

poster boy and a self-serving opportunist. Once jailed in the dreaded Andaman Cellular Jail, Savarkar infamously begged the British for pardon, promising to abandon revolutionary activities.

He kept his word—exchanging his fake freedom activism for the zeal of a xenophobic crusader. That involved hatred against Muslims or any other foreign-born faith followers.

Savarkar had an inherently poor and conservative vision of Hinduism. Instead, he perceived a limited religious and social order called Hindutva. Savarkar didn’t just misinterpret Hinduism; he downgraded it. In his words, “Hinduism is only a derivative, a fraction, a part of Hindutva.” By this logic, the profound, philosophical Hinduism of the Vedas and Upanishads was mere firewood for his inflammatory Hindutva agenda.

Hindutva’s Bizarre Archeological Adventures

Fast-forward to today, Hindutva’s followers seem armed with shovels, myths, and a bizarre imagination. They’ve already staked claims to Hindu temples beneath iconic structures like the Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Jama Masjid in Delhi.

Recently, they even claimed the Lord Shiva temple under the Ajmer Dargah, a revered Muslim pilgrimage shrine of Khwaja Mu’in al-din Chishti. This shrine is one of the epicentres of Sufism in South Asia and a symbol of the spiritual convergence between religious communities in India. For centuries, Hindu and Muslim pilgrims have prayed together in this shrine.

What’s next? A temple under the Eiffel Tower? Goddess Lakshmi beneath the Statue of Liberty? Or a shrine to Lord Vishnu hidden in the depths of Machu Picchu in Peru? These wild fantasies have no limits.

Bulldozing Bigotry

Hindutva’s reckless revisionism doesn’t just ridicule history—it endangers harmony. Its ludicrous campaigns must be unequivocally rejected by Hindus in India and across the globe. True Hinduism doesn’t dwell in imaginary temples; it thrives in its message of unity, tolerance, and spiritual exploration.

These laughable and senseless convictions of Hindutva followers, with their ridiculous global mapping of temples, need to be bulldozed by Hindus in India and all over the world.
