Modern wars do not have front lines or dedicated battlegrounds, and soldiers don’t clash one-on-one. The battles happen remotely. The mass killing of civilians and destruction of schools, hospitals and other civic buildings present a gory face of wars in the civilized world of today.
Swords, spears, bows and arrows were not as destructive as in the wars of today involving highly advanced and sophisticated weaponry, including firearms, tanks, aircraft, missiles, and electronic warfare systems.
The technology used in modern warfare has dramatically increased the destructive power that cause the genocide as it is happening in Gaza and Ukraine.
There has to be a complete ban on the production of modern and technologically sophisticated weaponry, the cause of massive deaths and destruction.
But it won’t happen as wars are a big business, too.
