It does sound sweet that our fruits and vegetables are getting sweeter.

The de-bittering experimentation and processes are being carried out to make fruits and vegetables as “kids friendly” or to appease our sweet tooth.
But nutritionists say that is unhealthy development steered by the food industry. Bitterness in fruits and vegetables is part of healthy and balanced diet. Bitter fruits, vegetables and herbs are full of compounds that stimulate digestion, increase nutrient absorption, aid in detoxification and boost metabolism and immune system.
